A Step Above the Rest: Dermatology Associates Receive AAAHC Accreditation for 12th Year

Dermatology Associates of Atlanta is excited to announce that, for the 12th year, we have achieved accreditation by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC), the leader in ambulatory health care accreditation and advocate for the provision of high quality health care through the development of nationally recognized standards.

In order to receive this exclusive accreditation, Dermatology Associates’ Surgical Suite had to undergo extensive self-assessment and on-site survey by the AAAHC’s expert surveyors; consisting of volunteer physicians, nurses, and administrators who are actively involved in ambulatory health care.

AAAHC accreditation is designed for organizations and medical practices that provide outpatient diagnostic and medical care (not for those that provide inpatient procedures requiring overnight hospital stays). Not every medical practice that seeks accreditation for the AAAHC receives it; so it is quite an honor for Dermatology Associates to be recognized by this non-profit, independent and internationally known association.

This is an important milestone in continuing growth and success of Dermatology Associates and we are proud to have The Surgical Suite distinguished from other outpatient facilities as providing the highest quality in patient care and safety standards. We are committed to continuing to uphold the AAAHC’s rigorous standards – providing you with the safest and most effective medical care from head to toe.
